9/18 Academic Reminder- Last day to drop a course without it being recorded!!

9/18 Last Day to Return Textbooks
Today is the last day to return a textbook for the fall semester. Please save your receipt, because you will need it to get a refund or do an exchange.

9/18 Dance Team Tryouts

Attention all dancers!!!! Come join the UML Dance Team, a hip-hop performance group that strives to promote school spirit. Everyone is welcome. The Dance Team performs at basketball games, rugby games, annual ASAO Fashion Show, Lowell Spinners, Spring Carnival and other school events. Mandatory practices are held Tuesdays 8-10 p.m. and Thursdays 8:30-9:30 p.m.

Registration deadline for Campus Recreation Intramural fall first half programs including Co-Rec Softball League, Co-Rec Volleyball League, Flag Football League, Powder Puff Flag Football, Tennis Tournament, Racquetball Tournament, & Squash Tournament. Sign up either as a free agent and be added to a team or submit your own team roster.

The Parker Lectures series begins with former Boston Pops and Boston Symphony bass player Justin Locke's memories of his musical career in his talk "Real Men Don't Rehearse." Admission is free.

A panel discussion with Chris Nowinski, former Harvard football player, WWE wrestler and author of "Head Games" (2006); Dr. Robert Cantu, chief of neurosurgery at Emerson Hospital & co-director of the Neurological Sports Injury Center at Brigham & Women's Hospital; Ted Johnson, former New England Patriot linebacker; and Peter Wotton, president of New Hampshire Athletic Directors Association.

When 9/11 terrorists shattered their lives, Susan Retik and Patti Quigley set off on an extraordinary journey to rebuild themselves and the lives of women half a world away. With an introduction to UMass Lowell’s 9/11 Remembrance by Chancellor Marty Meehan and film principals.

9/30 Edith Nourse Rogers Lecture
2 p.m. National Park Visitor CenterUML faculty member Patricia Fontaine of the Graduate School of Education will discuss the life and times of Lowell's legendary congresswoman Edith Nourse Rogers. Admission is free!!
